When working on software projects, bio-mathematicians should understand the specifications and schedules of the projects and work efficiently with their project managers, other developers, and testers to produce high quality design documentation and software. When specifications are incorrect, inconsistent, or could be improved, they should discuss changes with the project managers.
When working on analysis projects, bio-mathematicians are expected to interact with project leads to understand the scientific and/or business needs of the product user and to provide un-biased feedback. They must also perform some level of validation to ensure results presented in study reports are accurate.
Bio-mathematicians must check in their project code and design documents to source control on a regular basis. They should work actively with their teams to move software and study reports through the Quality System.
