Full-Time Quality Assurance

Position Summary:

BioFire Defense, LLC, is looking to hire a Quality Specialist I, Document Control. The Quality Specialist is responsible for overall maintenance and administration of the document control function. This position requires ability to learn and work with multiple computer programs and databases. This role will interact with multiple departments and the records they produce.


Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs the day-to-day responsibilities associated with Document Control.
  • Provide back-up, as assigned by manager, to other QA roles and job functions.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BioFire Defense Quality Management System.
  • Supports administrative activities of the Electronic Document Control system including Device History Records, Device History Files, and Device Master Records.
  • Supports administrative activities of the Training Program and maintenance of the records and database related to training.
  • Maintains Quality System data and assists in preparing quarterly reports.
  • Coordinates troubleshooting efforts related to document control and training program anomalies.
  • Special projects related to Quality Systems Planning and Quality System Auditing as requested.
  • Upon training, perform internal audits to the Quality System Regulations and ISO standards. applicable to the company.


Training and Education

  • College degree preferred; high school diploma is acceptable.
  • ISO Lead
  • Auditor Training preferred but may be acquired on the job.


 Experience/Skills/Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires strong computer skills and attention to detail.
  • Follows standard company practices and procedures or applies recognized national standards to specific BioFire Defense projects and processes with direction.
  • Normally receives general instruction on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments, then works independently.
